Celebrity Fashion Spotlight: Lykke Li

Okay, so Lykke Li (pronounced Lick-ee-lee, I believe) might not be considered a "celebrity" per se; but she's definitely getting there. She's one of my all-time favorite musical artists, and recently was featured on New Moon's soundtrack. Now, I'm hardly a Twilight fan, but anything that brings more attention to Lykke Li's music makes me happy, I guess.
Anyway, I admire Lykke Li not only as a musician and a woman, but also as A WOMAN WHO KNOWS HOW TO DRESS. Here are some pictures and videos to prove it (and the latter are also awesome for if you think you might like/already like her music):

Little Bit: This is the first video of hers I saw, and immediately loved it (and the song). Her stage presence is mesmerizing, and her outfit is the best.

Little Bit live: Love love love her outfit here, it's not a lot, but it works, from the coat to the black leggings and heels to the red lipstick to her signature bun tied on top of her head.

Dance Dance Dance Live: I"m liking the sort of hippie look in this one.

Dance Dance Dance live with Bon Iver (another favorite of mine; please have children, you guys!): What a great oufit. The hat is adorable, the shoes are awesome, and my sister and I both agree that we covet her pants. And is that, like... the coolest bracelet ever or what? Sadly, Justin (frontman of Bon Iver) (the guy wearing the dorky hat) (the guy who the camera keeps avoiding like it's ashamed for him)... Ahem, Justin Vernon's outfit significantly pales in comparison to Lykke Li's. Sorry, my lover, but WHAT ARE YOU WEARING? YOU LOOK LIKE A DORK! LYKKE LI'S NEVER GONNA HAVE YOUR MUSICALLY TALENTED BABIES NOW :(
Sorry about that. He looks much better here. Oh no, wait, he's wearing his sweater inside out. Oh, Justin. His music is beautiful, though, and you should listen to the whole video.

Anyway, back to Lykke Li. Here's some photos if you're too lazy to do the whole click & watch above. You can see she has a really distinct style that's all her own:

Here she is cleverly styling her hair with these this rockin' shoes. You go girl!
I was thrilled to find this: a rare example of Lykke Li deciding to be posh and fancy rather than slightly grunge and hipster:
Key ingredients here: Shiny bangles, monochromatic color scheme, tights and chunky heels, sleek hair, and of course, a winning smile.
I really like her doe-eyed look here. Dark eyes, soft lips: take note, everybody! The messy updo totally works for her too, as well as the mess of chains sprawling from her neck. She even manages to pull off those denim shorts. My hero!
Really getting into the performance here. Aaaannnd I'M really getting into her outfit. Again, messy hair, casual plaid and black, and some funky jewelry: it's her look and she pulls it off.

This girl never runs out of things to do with her hair. And I really love those... are they socks?
A dress not many people would be able to pull off, but she wears it gracefully and really flatters her figure with the thin belt around her middle. I especially like the softness of her hair here; it goes really well with the gentle look of the dress--and the metallic edginess of the chain necklace provides the perfect contrast.
And in these last two photos, you see more of her love for simple hair and black outfits and those chain necklaces. Not my style (though I wouldn't mind if it were), maybe not everyone's style, but it's hers and she really works it. Yay Lykke Li!

Now go and listen to her music, enjoy, and hopefully take some inspiration from her style and charisma, if the notion strikes you. Be sure to comment whether you like her style (and why or why not!), and/or if you can think of another woman--or guy--whose unique style inspires you, and I'll do a post on them!
