What I Wore-- Weekly Roundup

Here's a few of the outfits I wore this week.

I got tired of pants and decided to wear my girliest skirt.
This is what it looked like when I was all bundled up for the cold:
The sweater is the only cashmere item I own; I got it for free from a neighbor who didn't want it anymore. I have no idea why, it's super soft and comfy.

And this is the basic thing. I swear my legs aren't actually that short, it was just the angle. Really!

This is what I wore last weekend when I was just lounging around (I would never wear leggings as pants outside in public). It was entirely inspired by Jean Seberg in Breathless. I'm obsessed.

Here, I built upon the basic outfit above for the purpose of venturing out for some food (basically, just covered my butt and added some warm socks).

(And rainboots, because of sleet, although I would've rathered the black ballet flats. Sigh. Winter can be pretty cruel.)
I added a vintage grey jacket, and also (not pictured) my thick black winter coat.
I love the peter pan collar.
This skirt is actually much longer--it usually grazes my calf area, which is horribly unflattering for me--but I hiked it up around knee length by using the belt. It kept coming undone though, much to my horror. I need to get it hemmed properly.

Finally, I wore this today. Still tired of pants, obviously. And as you can see, I've been wearing these black leggings constantly. I'm so glad I got them, as they're a complete staple in my wardrobe now.

Sorry for no detail shots here, but I also had on my brown oxfords from Target and chunky black socks. The red dress is from Target, the plaid flannel shirt is stolen from my brother, and the military jacket is from H&M. I didn't wear my winter coat, just the jacket, so it was a bit chilly walking around campus. I'm longing for spring, although I suppose I will miss all the layering opportunities!

And there you have it. Have a good weekend :)

Interiors: Some Cool Finds

My one friend is moving into an apartment of her own next year, and lately there's not a lot of time that goes by without me dreaming of my own future place. Naturally, this leads to a lot of online pretend-shopping for furniture and decor and the like. Here's some pretty things that I found recently around the likes of Etsy, eBay, and Craigslist. I didn't included prices (because they'd make you pass out) or links, but if you need to know just ask and I'll let you know where you can find them. Enjoy!

These would brighten up anyone's kitchen:

I love fun, unique lighting:

As well as colorful, interesting chairs:

(Not technically a piece for sale; someone renovated this chair with silver spray paint--I kid you not--and I saw it on Design Sponge. I need to try this.)

Lots of vintage, old fashioned pieces:

For some reason I die for industrial design:

I love these colorful Bay Wool blankets. They can be pricey but this one was only 50 bucks on eBay.

And this rug is amazing, but a whopping $5,000. Sigh.
As you can see, my tastes are pretty eclectic (to say the least...). Luckily, I'm limited by my tiny budget. So, rather buying this huge hodge-podge of items and cluttering a minuscule apartment with them, I'll be forced to search high and low for cheap scores (that aren't ugly). That's a good thing, you see, because, well... erm...

Sorry, I can't focus on anything.

I really want that rug.
